What is the future "normal" light bulbs in Russia? While Russian consumers still prefer incandescent bulbs as cheaper. Without state transition to energy-saving technology is hardly possible. However, the rejection of the bulbs in the long run is inevitable. The EU has recently decided to introduce during the year a ban on the sale of conventional incandescent bulbs, so completely to energy-saving bulbs by 2012. The first steps to abandon conventional light bulbs in Europe, are expected to be made in September 2009. At this point, plans to ban the most common light bulb is 100 watts. Gradually, the ban will extend to the weaker lamp. Such a measure is included in a broader campaign to reduce energy consumption in Europe. The European Commission believes that by eliminating light bulbs can save as much energy as it produces 10 power plants of 500 megawatts, which corresponds to the power consumption of 11 million households.
